For this new year I’m challenging myself to a weekly project to capture 52 Moments in my children’s lives. And I’m challenging you to join me! Our children will never be this age again, and I don’t want us to ever forget these moments. If you miss a week that’s okay! The point is just to capture more moments with your kiddos this year. Be sure to post your photos on instagram and use the hashtags #justmaggie and #52moments
Your images from last week had so much amazing bedhead and crankiness! I LOVED them, here are some of my favorites from MORNING:
Week 7
Welcome to week 7 of my 52 moments challenge! This week your challenge is SMILE:
I have been waiting for this moment! Finally this week her last front tooth fell out! All four front teeth are gone (aside from the adult tooth already growing in) and I love it! It is the sweetest goofiest smile, with a slight, but adorable lisp.
I shot this indoors using window light. When using window light, in ideal situations, you should try to have your little one face the light at a 45 degree angle. This will avoid flat light from facing directly toward the windows, preserving some shadows on their face to add depth and dimension while still getting those beautiful catch-lights in their eyes.
Canon 5D Mark II, 50mm f/1.4 Lens, ISO 400, f 1.8, 1/80. To learn more about lighting, both indoors and outdoors, grab a copy of my ebook, Photographing Your Kids.
Can’t wait to see all of your SMILE moments! Remember to follow me on instagram, post your photos with the hashtags #justmaggie and #52moments and tag three of your Mama friends!
Until next week!
xo,
Maggie
