Yesterday, my baby boy turned four. FOUR! It really is amazing how quickly they grow. I still feel like he was only a baby yesterday. But now, as he tells me, he is a “big boy.” Which is a little bittersweet, I’m excited for the years ahead as he learns to read, ride a bike, start elementary school, but I’m also sad that he really isn’t a baby anymore.
I was feeling all of those mixed emotions yesterday and, of course, it made me pull out my camera to capture exactly what he is like at four. As I uploaded the photos to edit them, I realized that I have taken very few personal photos this year. It’s been such a busy year of growth and change for my business that I didn’t pick my camera up outside of work very much at all. Which makes these pictures even more important.
I want you all to remember to pick up your cameras more and capture those everyday moments with your kiddos. And come see me once or twice a year to get some gorgeous heirloom photos of your little ones as they grow. You’ll never regret the money you spend on photos that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
We all know that the days may be long, but the years are far too short,
xo,
Maggie
p.s. We have a few spots left in our Celebrate Motherhood Mini Sessions, if you’d like to get some photos in with your littles this month.
