This is the very last session left to post from my super busy holiday season!
This was an especially fun session for me to shoot! The weekend before Christmas I drove out to meet the whole family at their cabin in Big Bear. I was lucky that it wasn’t a snowy day, although it had snowed the night before and began to snow again that evening. I haven’t been in snow since I was a kid, and I was not looking forward to putting chains on my car. Luckily, I managed to get back out of Big Bear just as the snow started falling again. But for our session we had the sun shining and snow covered hills as our backdrop.
Thinking about an extended family session? I recommend talking with the key members of the group to make sure everyone is on board in advance of scheduling your session. When everyone involved is on the same page and looking forward to the outcome it can be a wonderful experience for everyone from start to finish!
And remember to schedule early! It can often be difficult to find an available date that works for the whole family. Although I do keep a few select dates open around Christmas for families who are coming to town to visit just for the holidays, I recommend the Spring & Summer months rather than the holiday season for extended family sessions whenever possible. Finding an open date when the whole family is free can be very difficult between September and December. I hope to see you and your whole family this spring or summer!
