The Bee’s Knees is a weekly feature wherein I ramble about all the lovely little things that are inspiring me this week.
I had the amazing opportunity to tour the showroom and studio of my album vendor Cypress Albums last week.
As you can see, everything they make is just absolutely lovely and simple and elegant.
I couldn’t have chosen an album maker who fit my style of photography better!
I felt so honored to get to see them all at work. They were all such nice people, and incredibly talented craftsmen.
My favorite job I’ve ever had was in college when I worked in a picture framing shop. I still miss that type of work and being at Cypress really reminded me of that time.
Of course, I never had the great skill or attention to detail that the Cypress team has.
What really impressed me about them was that they are all working artists in various media.
Cypress seems like the perfect day job for an artist to have. If I weren’t busy lawyering as my day job, I might consider applying!
I came home from my visit with sample album fabrics and ideas for new products I plan to offer!
Thank you to the wonderful people at Cypress for answering all of my questions, showing me around, and acting like it wasn’t annoying to have your photo taken while you’re trying to work!
