When Maygan first emailed me, she told me that she was excited to capture portraits of this pregnancy, because she wasn’t sure that she wanted to be pregnant ever again! Her exact words were, “As hard as I try to look at all of these changes as being beautiful it is really difficult when you feel like a whale all the time and you have melt downs for no reason at all!!”
I’m sure most of us Mamas can relate. Pregnancy is so hard on your body in a myriad of ways, it’s hard to see the beauty in it while it’s happening to you. But that is exactly why I love my job so much! It is such a pleasure to get to pamper a Mama-to-be for an afternoon of professional hair & makeup and then create beautiful images that show them that as terrible as they might feel, to the rest of the world they are absolutely stunning!
After coming back to the studio, Maygan sent me a thank you email and said, “I was amazed at how I looked, thank you for making me look and feel so pretty!! You are an amazing photographer and captured a time so special in our life beautifully.” I am so happy to have been able to do that for you Maygan! I can’t wait to meet your little boy!
