I couldn’t wait for this sweet girl to arrive! And I didn’t have to wait very long! She arrived just two weeks after I shot Mama’s Maternity session, a full 10 days before her due date! Although she arrived by emergency c-section, she is strong and healthy and so is Mom! I love this little family and was so happy to see them home and doing well.

Mom and Dad are both such sweet people it was wonderful to see them again for Samantha’s first portraits. And both Grandmas were there too, which was such a special treat. I, of course, put them to work assisting me while I shot!

I was also delighted to shoot in their beautiful nursery! Vanessa did such an amazing job decorating with lots of her own handcrafted touches, including the incredible bird mobile! I could not believe that it was handmade! Such an amazing crafty mom! I know Samantha will have soooo much fun growing up with a mom like that!

Samantha is a Baby’s First Year Collection baby, so I can’t wait to see how much she’s grown in a few months!
